Mister Frog
Many garden bugs help pollenate the flowers, fruits and vegetables. They provide a very valuable addition to any home garden. Lizards eat pests like flies and mosquitoes and end up as a valuable asset to any garden. Kids love lizards! Frogs eat alot more than lizards and also end up as very helpful additions to the garden. They love trees, ponds and dark wet spaces. Placing a low lying moat around some raised sections in the gardens provides additional benefits to the plants growing on the small hills. Mosquito hawks help control the population of mosquitoes as well.
We work to keep the garden of chemicals and chemical poisons. We spray vinegar to combat some types of plant pests. Lady bugs are fun to watch, as they grow from a larval stage that looks nothing like a lady bug to a bright orange shelled bug that eats pests that feed on the plants.
Avoid buying Terminix and all TOXIC chemicals. These "toxic chemicals" end up poisoning the environment. Avoid employing exterminators like "Truly Nolen" and Orkan. A little common dish detergent in a big bottle of water helps control some bugs. Snakes feed on mice and help control mice and some other rodents and sometimes end up as valuable assets to a garden.
Remember, frogs eat roaches, mosquitoes and flies. If you poison their food source you poison the frogs.
